Chris Savage said as much, which shows he read my posting more
clearly than you did. Moreover, I said myself that the very fact of
the piece is "flattering" to Seth. Careful readers of my earlier
posting know that no one disagrees with me on this.
The "Period" is perhaps what distinguishes someone who cares about
the quality of journalism, regardless of the subject matter, from
someone who doesn't. Nice to know on which side of that line you
fall, "period."

No one has said otherwise. This is a non sequitur.

You haven't learned yet, since, as I just said, I offered no opinion
as to this particular writer. I confined my comments to the problems
with the piece. As I noted in my last posting, she may be a perfectly
good reporter who was edited badly.
Perhaps you skipped over those words in my previous posting.
