Maybe they do. But I was not engaging in a nosepunch, so far as I know. I
was expressing what I believe to be the case.

As it happens, I had drafted a version of this posting without the
concluding line, but unwittingly sent the wrong version.

By the way, "dead hors-de-combat" is pretty good.
