bozofilter phenomena
Members of this list may be interested to hear about one of the phenomena
I've encountered when I have bozofiltered users whose postings have become
increasingly dominated by obsessive attacks -- to wit, that after I
announce that I've bozofiltered someone, the incidence of obsessive attacks
(to judge from subject headers that appear in passing and filtering reports
generated by software) from that person begins to rise. Generally the rise
is only temporary, but sometimes it plateaus. After a while I quit reading
even the filter reports.
When this occurs, as it has in the case of Andrew Greenberg, I generally
take this as confirmation that I made the right decision. Life is generally
too short to give time to responding to every charge the vicious and the
obsessed can invent. I prefer to let them demonstrate their viciousness and
obsessiveness.
