I'm no French scholar, but is that "fixes" or "fixe"?  In any case,
what never ceases to amaze me is how these threads can take such sharp
turns away from the original subject when folks with agenda (read: axes
to grind) get involved. :)  To the fixated, it seems, every subject
is relevant to their fixation.
